Interests

My research centers around the processes, qualities, and development of as well as influences on couple and coparenting relationships. Contexts in which I often study these relationships include the transition to parenthood and early infancy/childhood, as well as very specific contexts such as bedtime or technology use. I also have experience with intensive longitudinal data designs.

Specifically, I enjoy studying the adjustments that take place in marital and family processes across the transition to parenthood, how coparenting relationships develop over time, the ways that new parents are utilizing the internet to potentially assist them in their transition to parenthood, and the ways that technology devices may both assist and interfere with family interactions.
